KBC STUDENTS SUMMER EVENTS

FUGE CAMPS 2024

KBC Students : Mission Fuge 2024

Mobile, Alabama : June 24-29

What is MFUGE?

MFuge is designed to give students a mission experience that opens their eyes to similar opportunities they may have to serve in our own community, learning to live life each day on mission!

FUGE Camps staffers lead Bible study and facilitate the planning for each day. At MFuge, Students are divided into groups for Bible study and ministry based on the type of work they request. Adult leaders from our church accompany Bible study groups to the ministry sites.

During the day students will be challenged and stretched as individuals; in the evenings, we have an opportunity to build group unity over dinner, worship, fellowship and church group devotions.

How to register?

Registration is now OPEN!

Registration forms will be emailed to youth parents, and paper copies will be made available to the students in Big House. For any questions regarding registration or to be added to our email list, contact Steve at steve.mears@kingsvillebaptist.org

Parent Meeting:

Before we leave for camp, we need a parent or guardian for each student attending camp to join us at the camp parent meeting Wednesday April 24th at 7:40 p.m. in Big House.

At this meeting, students will choose track time preferences, payments can be made, and all details of travel and logistics will be communicated.

Cost and Camp Hours:

This year camp costs $450 per student. A $150 deposit is asked of each student when registration forms are turned in (by April 24th). The remainder of the cost has potential to be covered by generous donations from church members for students who have earned "camp hours" throughout the year.

Students can earn camp hours through volunteer work serving at KBC. Some examples are VBS volunteer, Upward coach or ref, Children's Camp Jr. counselor, The Gift, and extended care volunteer.

Students are asked to log their hours on the registration form. Students with 60 + hours receive the remainder of the payment in full. For 15, 30, or 45 hours, students can receive partial financial assistance. This breakdown is included on the registration form.

PraiseWorks

Worship Arts Camp: July 8-12, 2024

PraiseWorks is a worship arts-focused camp for students who have completed grades 7-12. Campers have an incredible opportunity to gather to worship, learn about worship, and gain skills for leading and participating in worship.

PraiseWorks is a week long camp on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University. This year’s camp will be held July 8-12, 2024.

PraiseWorks has proven to be one of the most innovative student worship events, equipping future worship leaders with hands-on knowledge and giving them a place to discover and develop their God-given abilities. In the past years, this week-long event on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University has hosted some of the best and brightest as they connected with friends and learned what it means to worship.
